Packing for 2011

Holidays are always a time of reflection. Years and Birthdays ending in Zero seem to impact us more than others. As this year and decade come to a close and we move into another year ending in “1”, decide what you will take with you and what you will leave behind.

~ Take Memories; Leave Regret.
~ Take the Lessons; Leave the pain.
~ Take the Wisdom; Leave Failure.
~ Take Forgiveness; Leave Guilt.
~ Take Compassion, Kindness, and Joy;
~ Leave Judgment, Intolerance, and Fear.
~ Take Laughter; Leave the Tears.

Pack up all your dreams, remembering that nothing is forever. You have the power to make 2011 an amazing year, no matter what else is going on. Your response and attitude have as much to do with your success as the circumstances of life.

New Years are opportunities to re-evaluate, rejoice, and refocus. In the midst of the craziness of the Holidays, take the time to think about your priorities and make solid plans to move towards them in 2011.

Enjoy your families and friends at your Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa celebrations. As tough as family gatherings can be, they are worth the time and effort. These are the the good old days you’ll look back and remember. Carry the good parts of each day forward with you in your heart.

“The past is now officially over. You now have the opportunity to move away from every disappointment you have ever known.”
~ Ralph Marston
