Waiters and Doers
I’m watching the results of this economic hiccup with great interest. I notice there are two types of people – those who are ‘waiting to see what happens’ and those who are making things happen.
Which one are you?
At this juncture, I doubt that one human on the planet can predict accurately what comes next. So many of us have relied on our investor friends, or magazines, or special insider reports, or Harry down at the bar, to tell us what’s up. This cathartic release of a system that was bound to implode some day just leveled the playing field.
So – if you don’t have a clue like the rest of us, you can sit around waiting… OR you can just get going and make your OWN future. Why the hell not?
I’m working on several e-books. I’m making audio files of the two I’ve published. I’m talking to radio stations. And I’m doing my level best to stay positive and avoid people who want to drag me into their paranoia. (Which includes the media, by the way…)
It’s been my experience that when I’m busy doing productive things, I forget about my fears and feel like I’m in control of this little piece of the world I live on.
If you want to be a Doer – make a short list of things you can do RIGHT NOW to make money. Think outside your self-imposed limits and get creative (keep it legal, of course!) The Holidays are coming up. Are there things you can do, gifts you can make, jobs you can take part time, places you can go and sell your creations? Stare at the wall for an hour with a notepad in your lap and see what brilliant ideas you can find.
Be a SOLUTION-oriented person and life starts to get better.
Believe in yourself and your ability to figure this out.
Make this a challenge and get going. It’s the secret to remaining resilient in the face of crises. You can do this.
good luck,
Beth
